Duncan Whitwell is an Oxford trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in Hip and Knee reconstructive surgery and Orthopaedic Oncology. He has many years of experience dealing with often highly complex orthopaedic procedures.
He has recently been awarded the prestigious ABC Travelling Fellowship Award which is only awarded to four surgeons every 2 years from the United Kingdom and offers the chance to travel to prestigious centres in the United States to lecture and view more advanced techniques.
He lectures regularly to both under and post graduates including being a Senior Lecturer on the UK Miller Orthopaedic Review Course which is held in Oxford annually and trains surgeons to a more advanced level.

Outside of medicine Mr Whitwell is married with 3 children. He enjoys watching them swimming, playing rugby and football.
